1. Warranty Coverage

  1. 3-Month Warranty: All repairs come with a standard 3-month warranty covering parts and labor related to the specific repair performed.
  2. Extended Warranty: Customers may extend their warranty coverage by paying an additional $20 per month after the initial 3 months. Extended warranties must be purchased before the standard warranty expires.

2. Exclusions

  1. Aftermarket Parts: Repairs may use aftermarket parts unless otherwise agreed. Issues arising from aftermarket parts, such as reduced battery life or minor performance differences, are not covered.
  2. Accessories: Accessories such as screen protectors, cases, or chargers are not covered under warranty.
  3. Physical and Water Damage: Physical damage (e.g., cracks, dents) or water damage incurred post-repair is not covered.
  4. Pre-Existing Faults: If your device has issues unrelated to the repair (e.g., phone not booting prior to service), these are not covered.

3. Customer Responsibilities

  1. Consent for Aftermarket Parts: By proceeding with the repair, you acknowledge and consent to the use of aftermarket parts where applicable.
  2. Usage and Care: Warranty is void if damage results from misuse, unauthorized repairs, or failure to follow care instructions provided by Mobile Hero.
  3. Claims Process: To claim warranty, provide proof of repair (invoice) and a detailed description of the issue. Claims must be submitted within the warranty period via email or in-store.

4. Legal Compliance

  1. Australian Consumer Law (ACL): This warranty operates alongside your rights under the ACL, including guarantees relating to acceptable quality, fitness for purpose, and due care and skill. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
  2. NSW Fair Trading: Mobile Hero adheres to the NSW Fair Trading Act 1987, ensuring transparency and fairness. Disputes may be escalated to NSW Fair Trading or the Australian Small Business and Family Enterprise Ombudsman (ASBFEO).
